Join us for The Clean Energy for Homes Conference & Trade Show, hosted February 13-14, 2024, in Saratoga Springs, New York. This two-day event, offered by the Building Performance Association, provides regional education for those working in the state of New York and in surrounding states.

Earn Continuing Education Units (CEUs) from allied organizations when you attend conference sessions and workshops. Continuing education credits can be accredited through our allied organizations, including BPI (including QCI, HHE, and EA), InterNACHI, NARI, and NATE.

 The Total Building Performance (TBP) Certificate of Knowledge, a new credential from Building Performance Institute to promote deep energy retrofits, is available now. The TBP will show that workers have the knowledge to plan, assist, and guide residential deep energy retrofit projects to reduce energy consumption by 50% or more.

The TBP covers 8 areas of knowledge needed for a deep energy retrofit. It offers a solid base of knowledge for certificate holders to develop a new line of business and establish trust with customers. The pilot exam is free to the first 500 candidates.

NYSERDA is offering free online Building Electrification Training through the Steven Winter Associates’ SWA Academy, a user-paced learning platform. There are three standalone courses on topics related to the electrification of space heating in residential buildings. 

Continuing Education Units (CEUs) are available for each training.  

Who Should Take These Courses:  
Contractors | Architects | Engineers | Developers | Consultants | Building Operators | Researchers | Policy Professionals | Students | Other Industry Professionals

Each week in May and June, staff from the Residential Energy Assessment (REA) and EmPower/AHP Programs will hold Office Hours to field questions on the NY Home Energy Portal (NYHEP). Each office hour session will cover a specific topic, please make sure you are registering for a session that covers your training needs. Participating contractors should bring their “How do I…“ questions on modeling, forms/reports, homework assignments, etc. to be prepared for the transition to the NY HEP in June.
