NYSERDA is offering free online Building Electrification Training through the Steven Winter Associates’ SWA Academy, a user-paced learning platform. There are three standalone courses on topics related to the electrification of space heating in residential buildings. 

Continuing Education Units (CEUs) are available for each training.  

Who Should Take These Courses:  
Contractors | Architects | Engineers | Developers | Consultants | Building Operators | Researchers | Policy Professionals | Students | Other Industry Professionals 

These courses are free of charge for New York State residents and employees of New York State businesses (fees may apply if you are a non-resident). The first step is to register for the training series, using the “NYSERDA Enrollment” link on the website, found here:  Register Today

NYSERDA is looking to onboard additional contractors to complete projects associated with the NYS Healthy Homes Value-Based Payment Pilot. The Pilot seeks to deliver residential healthy homes interventions to 500 households in targeted regions of New York State. Targeted regions include the following: all New York City Boroughs; Onondaga, Chautauqua, Erie, and Niagara counties. For the purposes of this Pilot, a healthy homes intervention is comprised of the following dwelling-based services: energy efficiency/weatherization measures, environmental trigger reduction measures, and home injury prevention measures. Additional details about the Pilot and contractor participation expectations can be found online.
