Life after TRC Screening – HPwES Insulation Rules and Best Practices | September 30, 2015

Continuing efforts to improve and increase efficiencies in the HPwES Program has resulted in the elimination of TRC screening requirements for insulation improvements. This change should make contract discussions with your customers more streamlined and easier to understand as well as simplify modeling insulation improvements. Participants should gain a better understanding of NYSERDA Home Performance with ENERGY STAR® & EmPower Program’s Material & Installation Guidelines for insulation best practices and what sales staff and installation crew goals and objectives should be to adhere to these Guidelines. Additionally, recent research has increased our understanding of insulation installation for enclosed cathedral ceiling cavities; the webinar will provide best practice recommendations to ensure long-term component durability and compliance with the 2010 Residential Code of New York.

Objectives:  By attending this session, attendees will learn:

  • HPwES Eligible Measures List
  • Insulation Rules
  • Review of NYSERDA Home Performance with ENERGY STAR & EmPower Program’s Material & Installation Guidelines (MIG)
  • Insulating Cathedral Slopes
  • Optimizing Customer Education

Earl Hicks, Sr. Technical Analyst, and and Peter Hoke, Senior Account Manager, from CLEAResult presented this training.
