BPI 1200 & ASHRAE Standards | December 16, 2015

As the Home Performance industry matures so does the standards that drive it. BPI and ASHRAE have updated standards the HPwES Program is based on and these changes will have an impact on both the way you interact with your customers and their homes.

With the introduction of the BPI 1200 Standard Practice for Basic Analysis of Buildings, it is important to identify the major differences from the soon-to-be retired BPI Building Analysis Standard and how it affects the way you test buildings and provide recommendations. The BPI 1200 Standard incorporates ASHRAE’s 62.2-2013 Ventilation and Acceptable Indoor Air Quality in Low-Rise Residential Buildings Standard which modifies the way air-tightness is considered.

These Standards will become effective January 1, 2016. Our goal is to make sure that you are familiar with the requirements of these standards and are prepared to deploy them. This webinar will explore the changes and how these new standards impact your projects.

Topics to be covered in the webinar:

  • Key differences between BPI 1200 and legacy BPI Standards
  • Diagnostic test equipment requirements to comply with the BPI 1200 Standard
  • Identifying the differences in ventilation requirements
  • Program implementation of ASHRAE 62.2-2013
  • Changes to Program forms for data collection

Louis Marrongelli and Earl Hicks, Sr. Technical Analysts from CLEAResult presented this training.
