NYSERDA - Combustion Safety Webinar Series - Module 3 Worst Case Depressurization and Testing for Spillage

Combustion appliances provide your customers with essential comfort but can also pose risks if not designed properly and operating correctly. This multi-part webinar series will begin with why this topic is important, what types of combustion appliances you will encounter and the fundamentals of how combustion appliances work. Subsequent sessions will describe how home performance measures like air sealing, insulation, duct sealing and replacing older heating systems with sealed combustion equipment could impact combustion appliance operation, proper home evaluation and tests that should be performed, and wrap up how to determine minimum combustion air requirements.

Wednesday, March 25th - 3:00-4:00PM
Module 3 - Worst Case Depressurization and Testing for Spillage reviews BPI procedures for testing vented appliances, how to establish a baseline and set up the home for worst case conditions and how to measure spillage and interpret the results.

All staff are welcome, but we encourage auditor/assessors, crew chiefs and installers to attend this webinar. Please register using the link below:
